SIDE VIEW PRINT DETAILS
The images on this site only show the aircraft that appears on a print; below are examples of actual prints. Each has a legend detailing the identity of each aircraft and crew where applicable. To the left of the legend there is usually a suitable squadron badge. To the right I sign, date and number each print. I keep these details comparatively small so as not to greatly affect the overall look of the print.

PERSONALIZED PRINTS
Each print can have a personalized caption relating to a specific plane's history and / or one of its crew. Suitable images of unit insignia can be chosen or even a photograph of a medal can be incorporated into the picture. A personal dedication can also be added all of which makes a print unique to the purchaser.

PRINT SIZE
Paper width is either 24 inches (61cm) and 36 inches (91.5cm); print heights vary depending on aircraft type. This large size allows the reproduction of all the fine detail of each artwork. For more information on artwork quality go here.

PAPER and INKS
The paper used is heavy grade acid free (museum quality) with a smooth matt finish. The inks are long lasting (archival) and therefore fade resistant. Despite this it is still advisable to protect your print within a suitable frame and avoid exposure to direct sunlight.

The personalized legend is flanked by a requested Group Insignia and a photograph of a crew member's actual DFC.

Framed prints of both Standard and Extra Large sizes. The EA-6B (top) was chosen to keep the size of the frame down for these purposes. Other 'taller' aircraft such as the F-86 Sabre result in a much larger picture. The standard size wine bottle is included to give an idea of scale.

FULL COLOUR ARTWORK PRINT DETAILS
The images on this site only show the aircraft that appears on a print. Below is an example of an actual print. Each has a legend detailing the aircraft and events depicted in the picture. The legend is flanked by two suitable unit badges. I leave a gap between the legend and badges where the prints are signed and numbered.

PRINT SIZE
Print sizes vary slightly, the paper size is usually around 23 1/2 inches (60cm) by 19 1/2 inches (50cm). This large size allows the reproduction of all the fine detail of each artwork. For more information on artwork quality go here.

PAPER and INKS
The paper used is heavy grade acid free (museum quality) with a smooth matt finish. These are lithographic prints and therefore are printed with weak ink pigments that are prone to fade in strong light. It is therefore essential to protect your print within a suitable frame and avoid exposure to direct sunlight. For full protection it is advisable to use a frame that utilizes perspex (plexiglas) instead of ordinary glass. Perspex blocks Ultra Violet Light which is the part of natural light which fades colour pigments. Thus protected your print should last indefinitely. Substituting glass with perspex should only add a small amount on to the cost of a frame and in my view this small additional cost is well worth paying to protect your print.
